Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT)

This workshop introduces the foundations of Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or FACT, a brief intervention approach to enhancing psychological flexibility. Participants will experiment with FACT tools for assessment, conceptualization and intervention and learn to help clients pivot from overuse of avoidance and control strategies to pursuing what matters. Dr. Robinson will introduce components of initial and follow-up FACT visits and demonstrate use of a popular fACT metaphor, the Bull’s-Eye, to empower strong clinical conversations about values.
