Addressing Trauma and its Comorbidities via Transdiagnostic Treatment

Transdiagnostic psychotherapies involve identifying and treating common, underlying symptoms across overlapping psychiatric disorders without tailoring the protocol to specific diagnoses. This course will provide a framework for using transdiagnostic treatment practices with patients to depressive, anxiety, and trauma and stress-related disorders. In particular, Transdiagnostic Behavior Therapy (TBT) will be reviewed in detail with emphasis on applying the protocol to address trauma and its comorbidities. Research and literature on TBT will be reviewed to help clinicians with decision-making treatment selection and application.
