Posttraumatic Growth: Possibilities for Transformation, Richard Tedeschi, PhD (Kaiser Permanente Employees and Current Trainees)
This presentation will provide a conceptual framework for how traumatic events can lead to positive change. Several types of posttraumatic growth will be described as well as the process by which it occurs. A case discussion of a traumatized child will be used to illustrate how to help facilitate the process of posttraumatic growth by being an expert companion.Register Now

- Define the concept of posttraumatic growth and its key features
- Describe the five types of posttraumatic growth and how to identify these in clients
- Utilize five phases of intervention to facilitate posttraumatic growth
