The Mental Health Training Program is excited to announce that our continuing education programs have been approved for sponsorship by the American Psychological Association (APA)! After the start of the new year, our live regional speaker presentations as well as the asynchronous trainings available through our robust and award-winning online library will be APA approved for continuing education.
The American Psychological Association (APA), founded in 1892, is the largest psychological organization in the United States. The Standards and Criteria for Approval of Sponsors of Continuing Education for Psychologists are focused on continuing education regarding the science and profession of psychology that has been empirically established and supported.
This exciting accomplishment will expand our ability to offer our KP partners and hardworking mental health clinicians across markets increased opportunities for continuing education. With guidance from our MHTP CE Liaison, Dr. Chelsea Vilinskas, and dedicated efforts by the administrative and leadership teams within MHTP, you can now look for the new APA icon below to continuing education programs!
Even if a course is APA-approved, always refer to your state licensing board for the most recent information regarding which types of credits will be accepted for your specific license renewal requirements.
The Kaiser Permanente Mental Health Training Program is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Kaiser Permanente Mental Health Training Program maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
