Fresno is located near Yosemite National Park and multiple bodies of lakes for those who enjoy beautiful trails, hikes, and fishing. In addition, Fresno has a total of five large shopping centers; Fig Garden, Riverpark, Fashion Fair Mall, Sierra Vista Mall, and The Marketplace shopping center. You can also explore popular attractions like the Underground Garden, Tower district, Clovis Old Town Trail, and/or attend the Annual Night in the Garden at Willows Garden Nursery in the month of May. Fresno offers a wide variety of activities for our trainees and for the healthy conscious individual. You can buy locally grown produce from the Wednesday Farmers Market.
Kaiser Permanente-Fresno provides comprehensive health care to more than 145,000 members residing in the culturally diverse Central San Joaquin Valley. There are over 80 different languages spoken here. We have about 90 people on our mental health staff.
Kaiser Permanente also supports a 152-bed hospital and medical office building in Fresno. Overall, Kaiser Permanente, Fresno, has approximately 250 physicians and 2,000 support staff, including allied professionals, providing care to its members of all ages.
Program Highlights
Each team has wealth of knowledge and experience with LCSWs, LMFTs, PsyDs, PhDs and MDs in Psychiatry with specialty in every area of Mental Health. We work together as teams to help serve and treat our members who have symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress and other complex programs. We offer a wide range of Programs: including, Outpatient, Day treatment, Case Management, Addiction medicine treatment and Medication Management. We provide individual, group and family counseling as well as interventions. We provide psychoeducational programs for all problems as well as group therapy process. We have an Active DBT program that runs about 10 groups per week.
We provider over 20 supportive therapy groups.

Clinical Service Opportunities
Our internship program is committed to helping post master’s interns to further develop their clinical assessment skills and psychotherapy skills and techniques. This is a demanding and challenging placement that emphasizes clinical training in a supportive and structured environment. Interns will work with individual patients in addition to facilitating psycho-educational groups, co facilitating therapy groups. Interns will have opportunities to learn a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches as DBT, CBT, Solutions-Focused therapy, Systems treatment and Crisis evaluation.
