Sacramento Valley Consortium (Roseville/Sacramento and South Sacramento)
The Sacramento Valley Training Consortium is centrally located in Sacramento, California. “The City of Trees” is the heart of California’s Central Valley and the state capital. The city has experienced significant growth and development in the past years and includes top farm-to-fork restaurants, professional sports, and access to amazing outdoor activities.
An easy day trip to the coast, San Francisco, Napa, or Lake Tahoe. Outdoor activities are popular, especially from April to November, when the weather is warm and dry. The winter affords skiing opportunities in the Sierra Nevada mountains nearby. Cost of living is moderate for California communities and much more affordable than the Bay Area. The city of Sacramento and its surrounding suburbs are frequently identified as a top city among multiple polls.
Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento cares for ~213,000+ members, which is 41% of the residents in this area. The diversity of the South Sacramento area is reflected in our patient population: White= 34%; Hispanic= 28%; Asian= 26%; African American= 14%; Other= 3%.
Program Highlights
South Sacramento medical center is committed to innovation and leading the way in care. We value providing caring moments to members at all touch points. The training team believes in exposing fellows to this innovation and framework for conceptualizing care. The ultimate goal of the training program is to develop well rounded, culturally competent, and forward-thinking therapist prepared for independent or organizational practice.
