Vacaville
The Vacaville and Fairfield clinics are in Northern California, an easy day trip to the coast, San Francisco, Napa, or Lake Tahoe. Outdoor activities are popular, especially from April to November, when the weather is warm and dry. The winter affords skiing opportunities in the Sierra. Cost of living is moderate for California communities and much more affordable than the Bay Area.
Between the two clinics, we serve approximately 150,000 Kaiser Permanente members including significant portion of Medi-Cal patients. Solano County is extremely diverse in terms of racial and ethnic identities with large populations of Filipinx, Latinx, and African American clients who utilize our services. Our clinics in serve a vast span with regard to socioeconomic diversity. We serve a number of folks who commute into the larger cities for their jobs and our catchment area also includes patients from more rural nearby towns.
Program Highlights
Our clinics and staffing have been through a number of transitions in the last year, as has our training program. We are excited to revive this program with a new structure, training opportunities and diverse training staff. We will offer year-long fellowships to two or three qualified candidates. All fellows for our service area will gain experience by working on both our Adult and Child & Family teams. We operate in strong team environment, with an open-door policy which ensures quality consultation and collaboration with staff across clinics, teams and licensure. The Vacaville and Fairfield clinics are comprised of the following teams: Adult, Child & Family, Addiction Medicine and Recovery Services, Intensive Outpatient, Eating Disorders Team and Triage.
We value our fellows and appreciate the energy and enthusiasm they have brought to the team in the past. Many of our staff were hired on after completing fellowships and residency programs and have been able to build meaningful positions for themselves within the clinic. Our training team is committed to providing a worthwhile and individualized training experience within a supportive and nurturing environment. The ultimate goal of the training program is to develop well rounded, culturally competent, and forward-thinking therapists prepared for independent practice.
