West Bay Consortium (San Francisco, South San Francisco and Redwood City)
The Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Training Programs at West Bay Consortium started in 2008 and APA-accredited since 2013. The training programs function as a consortium and is now comprised of four training sites including: Redwood City Medical Center, San Francisco Medical Center: Department of Mental Health and Department of Chronic Pain, and South San Francisco Medical Center. Each of these training sites is administratively independent, but each site contributes faculty, financial support, and other resources to the Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Training Program. All residents meet weekly for didactics and professional networking in Daly City.
Located in Daly City, just south of San Francisco and along the north side of the West Bay Peninsula, the South San Francisco Department of Mental Health is central to an exciting global urban hub and breathtakingly beautiful natural settings.
The patient population consists of Kaiser Health Plan members and represents a broad ethnic, cultural, lifespan, sexual orientation, gender, and socioeconomic spectrum. To provide culturally appropriate care, our clinicians represent the spectrum of diversity. Below are additional highlights:

Program Highlights
We have a warm and supportive training environment intended to offer opportunities for residents to build and enhance their knowledge, clinical skills, and professionalism, while valuing personal well-being and self-care. We create safety in the learning experience and have an open-door environment where inquiry and meaningful connections are encouraged.
Our clinic is one of few integrated Kaiser Mental Health Departments, housing Adult Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and Addiction Medicine and Recovery Services. Residents collaborate with Psychologists, Psychiatrists, LCSW, MFT, NP, LPCC, and other trainees. This offers our residents the opportunity to consult and collaborate with providers from other specialties.

A unique feature of our training program is that postdoctoral residents have the opportunity to mentor practicum students. Didactic training and supervision of supervision are incorporated in the residency curriculum.
Psychological assessment is part of the residency, therefore applicants should come with a foundation of administering, scoring, and interpreting widely-used test batteries, as well as be competent in report-writing.

The West Bay Consortium Residency Program historically meets weekly in the KP SSF Department of Psychiatry location in Daly City. Currently, due to COVID, all seminars are conducted virtually.
