Modesto

Located in North Modesto close to Highway 99.  Close to numerous restaurants.  Modesto is largely an agricultural area with diverse population served.  90,000+ KP Members in Modesto service area.  Multidisciplinary clinical team with LMFTs, LCSWs, LPTs, Psychologists and Psychiatrists on staff.  Both Child and Adult services on site in newly opened “State of the Art” clinic.  Easy free parking in quiet setting.

Clinical Service Opportunities

A typical day for a Pre-Master’s intern will include elements of supervision, treatment team meetings, shadowing or co-facilitating groups/classes, attending didactic trainings and meeting with individual patients and documenting these interactions. Numbers of individual patients and groups will be dependent on hours worked per week and discussion with individual supervisor.

Specialty Tracks

Rotations include shadowing and co-facilitating a wide variety of groups/classes including DBT, anxiety and depression management, treatment of Bipolar disorders, trauma recovery, etc. Interns will also have opportunities, when available, to rotate through the Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) and the Addiction Medicine Recovery Services (AMRS) located in Manteca.

Rotations include shadowing and co-facilitating a wide variety of groups/classes for preschool, elementary school, middle school and high school aged patients (and parents) to address anxiety, depression. Interns will also have opportunities, when available, to rotate through the Teen Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP).

Schedule

  • Individual supervision: 2 hours
  • Group supervision: 2 hours
  • Journal Club and Diversity Conversation: 1 hour
  • Case conferences: 2 hours
  • Didactic training: 2 hours
  • Regional training: one afternoon per month
  • Indirect patient care (i.e., clinical documentation): 2-5 hours
  • Group/Class Co-Facilitation: 1.5-3 hours
  • Number of individual patients will be dependent on hours worked per week and discussion with individual supervisor.
