Presenter Bio

Dr. Brodhead earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the PGSP – Stanford Psy.D. Consortium (APA Accredited) and is a licensed psychologist in the state of California. Dr. Brodhead has a specialty in psychological assessment as it relates to determining eligibility for accommodations in university and standardized testing environments. He has additional specialties in disability determination and compensation and pension evaluations, having conducted thousands of examinations, through current affiliations with the Social Security Administration Disability Determination Services Division and Veteran’s Affairs among other professional groups specialized in objective psychological assessment. Dr. Brodhead has worked at Kaiser Permanente for nearly ten years. He is the credentialed and privileged primary supervisor of ADHD assessment for psychologists in training. Furthermore, he has developed regionally adopted adult ADHD assessment protocols, created a regional center for excellence in assessment training, and is the current managing director of the adult ADHD assessment protocol in Walnut Creek, CA.

Health Connect training is a basic/advance set of training modules that familiarize new trainees with the intricacies of the electronic medical records used at Kaiser Permanente. The emphasis is from a clinician’s standpoint, balancing the ethics of thorough charting with efficiency.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain basic familiarity with psychology-specific charting.
  2. Describe advanced techniques of psychology-specific charting.
  3. Identify how to balance ethics with efficiency in psychology-specific charting

New trainees and staff to Kaiser Permanente, Licensed mental health professionals employed through Kaiser Permanente, and psychological assistants performing under supervision of a licensed psychologist.

Kaiser Permanente Northern California Mental Health Training Program is approved by the California Psychological Association to provide continuing professional education for psychologists. The Kaiser Permanente Northern California Mental Health Training Program maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Refund and Attendance Policy

All programs offered on KP Learn for CE credit through the KP Northern California Mental Health Training website are free of charge to Kaiser Permanente Staff and trainees. Once a course is selected in the KP NCAL MH Training Website, the registration process begins, and it will appear in the individuals KP Learn profile for completion within 90 days.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Those who attend the program in full and complete the appropriate evaluation form will receive CE credits. Please note that credit will only be granted to those who attend the entire program. An attestation of attendance will be given once the individual has completed viewing the program, which will then initiate the final steps of completing the evaluation forms to receive a certificate of completion.
