Introduction to Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD (1 of 2)
Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy is an evidence-based psychotherapy for PTSD that has been found effective with a wide range of trauma populations. In this workshop, Dr. Sandy Capaldi will discuss the diagnosis of PTSD, how to identify clients who may be appropriate candidates for PE, and will introduce participants to emotional processing theory, the theory underlying PE.Register Now
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify criterion A traumas and PTSD symptoms
- Identify appropriate candidates for PE therapy
- Discuss emotional processing theory as it relates to development, maintenance, and treatment of PTSD symptoms
