Presenter Bio

Anneliese Singh, PhD, LPC (she/they) is a Professor and Associate Provost for Diversity and Faculty Development/Chief Diversity Officer at Tulane University. Anneliese’s scholarship and community organizing explores racial healing, racial justice, resilience and liberation experiences of QTBIPOC people, as well as NIH-funded work with trans and nonbinary people. They are the author of The Racial Healing Handbook: Practical Activities to Help You Challenge Privilege, Confront Systemic Racism, and Engage in Collective Healing and The Queer and Trans Resilience Workbook. In this session, Dr. Anneliese Singh describes core racial healing strategies that mental health practitioners in the Kaiser Permanente can practice in the aim of collective racial justice and liberation. In doing so, Dr. Singh invites people to explore their own racial healing so they can address internalized racism, identify racial healing and repair needed in healthcare settings, and transform structural racism within institutional settings.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

Identify 3 ways that their own racial identity development is connected to leading racial equity change.
Describe at least 3 ways that they have experienced racial socialization and conditioning in systemic racism.
List 3 ways that they can advocate for racial equity change in their professional and personal settings.

All programs offered on KP Learn for CE credit through the KP Northern California Mental Health Training website are free of charge to Kaiser Permanente Staff and trainees. Once a course is selected in the KP NCAL MH Training Website, the registration process begins, and it will appear in the individuals KP Learn profile for completion within 90 days.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Those who attend the program in full and complete the appropriate evaluation form will receive CE credits. Please note that credit will only be granted to those who attend the entire program. An attestation of attendance will be given once the individual has completed viewing the program, which will then initiate the final steps of completing the evaluation forms to receive a certificate of completion.
