Are you wary of the role of technology in mental health? Excited about technology’s potential, but not sure where to start? This introductory workshop is for you. The presenter reviews types of digital mental health interventions, explores how these interventions mitigate barriers to service, evaluates data on their utility, examines the rapidly growing developments in cultural adaptation, and explains basic concepts related to ariticial intelligence. Although the presenter has conducted research on digital technologies for anxiety for 20+ years, she does not consider herself “a technology person.”
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- List two types of digital technologies used to improve mental health and the empirical evidence of their utility.
- List two barriers to accessing mental health care and how technology can be used to mitigate them.
- Describe a digital mental health intervention that has been culturally adapted.
- Describe two foundational concepts related to artificial intelligence

Please note that credit will only be granted to those who attend the entire program. An attestation of attendance will be given once the individual has completed viewing the program, which will then initiate the final steps of completing the evaluation forms to receive a certificate of completion.
