Addiction impacts the entire family system. This interactive presentation explores how family recovery supports long-term outcomes for both individuals with substance use disorders as well as their families. Participants will learn practical, evidence-based ways to engage families, shift dysfunctional roles, and promote healing across the system.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the importance of family recovery in improving addiction treatment outcomes by identifying common relational and systemic barriers to family recovery.
- Describe evidence-based approaches to integrating family programming emphasizing engagement and resilience.
- Apply systemic and developmental models of family recovery to clinical practice within healthcare or treatment settings.
