This past year the KP Northern California Mental Health Training Program team was the proud recipient of two prestigious KP Awards. Drs. Mandeep Tumber-Bhela and Chinue Brown were recognized with the R.J. Erickson Group Award for their work creating a mentorship program for students at Dozier-Libbey Medical High School in Antioch, California and connecting students to the  KP Launch program that offered paid summer internships in Antioch Mental Health to the students. Kaiser Permanente established the R.J. Erickson Awards in 1999 to recognize individuals and groups across Kaiser Permanents that champion equity, inclusion, and diversity. Watch an inspiring video above of Drs. Brown and Tumber-Bhela accepting their award. We are so proud of their achievements.
