The NCAL Mental Health Training Program is excited to welcome all of 2024-2025 mental health trainees to Kaiser Permanente! The MHTP has a robust and exciting program for clinical psychology externs, interns, and post-doctoral residents, as well as post masters’ fellows and pre-masters’ interns! Along with all of the required clinical hours and didactic learning throughout the year, our trainees will also have a variety of enrichment opportunities through the MHTP.
Our Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity (EID) committee hosts monthly EID forums just for trainees with internal and external clinicals presenting on EID related content, quarterly consultations hours, and internal and external mentorship opportunities. The mentorship program through the EID committee fosters internal mentorship relationships with a KP licensed clinician and a trainee, as well as external opportunities where trainees can mentor a high school student throughout the year as part of their community benefit project. The Wellness and Outreach program also hosts monthly professional development or wellness/self-care events, with the goal of providing opportunities for trainees to build their professional development skills and focus on self-care during their busy schedules. In addition, the NCAL MHTP also offers a robust CE library for additional learning, with nationally renowned leaders in the field providing education on their topics of expertise.
