Grayson Lewis, PsyD (he/him), joined the Stockton Psychiatry Department on the Adult Outpatient team as a Psychological Associate in 2019 and as a Clinical Psychologist in 2020. His roles included working as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy program lead, Clinical Supervisor, Regional Feedback Informed Care liaison, and Psychologist providing individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological testing, specializing in ADHD assessment.
As a supervisor, Dr. Lewis endeavors to support trainees in collaborative, strengths-based supervision which provides foundational psychological skills in assessment and treatment. In clinical approach, Dr. Lewis practices psychology from a behavioral understanding of functioning, utilizing and teaching Third-Wave behaviorism including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. With the NCAL Mental Health Training program, his role includes providing individual and group supervision, as well as didactic training and program development.
While working as a Regional Feedback Informed Care liaison, Dr. Lewis’s responsibilities included facilitating case conference support and creating resources in support of improving clinical practices related to receiving feedback and responding effectively to suicidal ideation.
While Dr. Lewis has lived in many places, he received his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. He completed his doctoral internship with the County of San Bernadino Supervised Treatment After Release forensic program and Transition Age Youth Center. He currently lives in Stockton with his cherished wife and precious young daughter.
